Atmospheric Father's Day lunch at Koskivahti

On November 9, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., fathers and grandfathers will be celebrated at Sahanlahti with Restaurant Koskivahdin's traditional Father's Day lunch. The festive and abundant lunch table will serve delicious seasonal flavors and the finest ingredients from our local area.

The price for the festive buffet is €45 per person (children aged 4–12 eat for half price).

Starters

The buffet table offers a wide selection of fresh and hearty delicacies made from local ingredients:

  • Herb salad (V, G) and berry vinaigrette (V, G)
  • Crispy cabbage salad (L, G)
  • Root vegetable salad from the Pyy's farm (L, G)
  • Sahanlahti potato salad with bacon from the Kuvala's farm (L, G)
  • Fisherman Laine's smoked vendace (M, G)
  • Dill sauce (L, G)
  • Hauhala's goose liver pâté (L, G) and lingonberry jam (V, G)
  • Marinated red onion (V, G)
  • Pickled cucumbers (V, G)
  • Bread from Saha's own bakery:
    • Spelt sourdough bread and malt bread (L) with whipped butter (L, G)
    • Traditional Karelian pies with Rasinranta farm's egg butter (L, G)

Main courses

The best possible, prepared in our kitchen from high-quality local ingredients:

  • Smoked Puumala's salmon and creamy white wine sauce (L, G)
  • Kuvala farm's pork fillet with rich Dijon sauce (L, G)
  • Roasted beetroot and Peltola Blue cheese (L, G)
  • Crispy potatoes (V, G)

The celebration ends with a sweet finale

  • Sahanlahti bakery's caramel cake (L, G)
  • Organic coffee and TeaHouse of Wehmais' brewed tea
  • Fresh blueberry juice
